Glossika’s Spaced Repetition Program (GSR) does amazing things for your foreign language learning progress.
It focuses specifically on building stronger memories in the first four days of encountering new information. These are the crucial days to strengthen those new memories. As you proceed through the program, sentence patterns are repeated and new vocabulary is introduced. Your pattern recognition ability will strengthen and the new language will open up to you. As you'll been repeating everything as you go along, you’ll discover a new ability to manipulate the language, not only in your mind, but with your tongue as well.
The GSR files introduce the material at a more relaxed pace, completing one module in 100 days. For many people, this still means tremendous progress.
GSR files have the following benefits:
- Sequentially numbered from Day 1 to Day 100 (we also provide 101-104 as four extra days of review)
- Short: an average of 15 minutes per file
- Bilingual: comprehensible input so you understand what you’re hearing
- Built-in Review: each file reviews the new sentences from the previous 4 files
For ambitious language learners, you can increase the pace to whatever you feel comfortable doing. For example, you could listen to 2 files daily in sequential order, thereby finishing the course in just 50 days. Another option would be to listen to 4 files daily and repeat two of them every day and still finish in 50 days, so that you really reinforce the material.
If you feel that the 100-day schedule is still a little ambitious, then listen to three files daily, two of which are repeated, one of which is new. This is particularly useful when you get past day 25 for the extra reinforcement. Again, just do whatever feels the most natural for you.
